• 2001

  • ​Shirley Cummins, Executive Director of RTEC and Sue Jeffers, Transportation Director, Bluegrass Ultra-transit Service were inducted into the Kentucky Public Transit Hall of Fame.  Vickie Bourne, Executive Director of KY Office of Transportation Delivery presented the awards.

  • ​​James C. Nichols, RTEC Transportation Specialist placed second in KPTA Driver's Roadeo

  • ​The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of Transportation Delivery  presented RTEC with award for "Kentucky Outstanding Overall Transit System"

  • ​RTEC's Dispatcher, Angie Smith was recognized by Kentucky Public Transit Association (KPTA) as "Dispatcher of the Year". 

• 2005

  • ​Bobby Lawson placed third in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo. Wanda McCoy, RTEC also participated in the Roadeo.

• 2005

  • ​RTEC's Golf Team placed third in KPTA's Golf Tournament at Kearney Hills Golf Course.

• 2007

  • ​RTEC Transportation Specialist Lola Swinney took first place and Bobby Lawson placed second in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo.  Swinney went on to represent Kentucky in the National CTAA Driver's Roadeo in New Orleans, June 2008.  Thanks Lola!

  • ​The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of Transportation Delivery  presented RTEC with "Outstanding Statewide Overall Transit System"

• 2009

  • ​The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of Transportation Delivery  presented RTEC with "Outstanding Statewide Transit System".   

• 2009

  • ​Drivers, Rebecca Wright (Russell County) and Bobby Lawson (Bell County) represented RTEC in the KPTA Roadeo.  Bobby Lawson placed third in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo. Thanks for a job well-done!

• 2011

  • ​RTEC's Board Member Clara M. Jones was recognized as KPTA Volunteer of the Year.  RTEC's Golf Team placed second in the Golf Tournament!!

• 2013

  • ​The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of Transportation Delivery presented RTEC with the "Statewide Kentucky Public Transit System Award" and "Statewide Kentucky Transportation Broker Call Center/Customer Service Award".

  • ​RTEC Transportation Specialist Bobby Lawson took the first place award in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo and will represent Kentucky in the National CTAA EXPO 2014 Driver's Roadeo to be held in St. Paul, MN.  Thanks Bobby and Good luck in the National Roadeo!!

  • ​Rockcastle County Kiwanis Community Service presented RTEC/Shirley Cummins the "Outstanding Business Award".

  • ​RTEC was recognized for "2017 Statewide Human Service Transportation Delivery Outstanding Call Center Award"

  • ​RTEC was recognized for "2017 Outstanding Section 5311 Public Transit Award for Large Sized Agency"

  • ​RTEC's Golf Team (Mike Dixon, Nicholas Lewis, Randy Lewis, & Tyler Burris) took 1st Place in the "2017 KPTA Golf Outing" at Gay Brewer Jr.'s Picadome Golf Course.

  • ​​​The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of Transportation Delivery presented RTEC with the "Outstanding Section 5311 Rural Public Transportation System Award"

  • ​Drivers, James Keith Bowling (Laurel County) and Mitchell Williams (Pulaski County) represented RTEC in the KPTA Roadeo.  Mitchell Williams placed Second in the KPTA Driver's Roadeo. Thanks for a job well-done!
